The River Thames at Easter

So what is the meaning of life ... all those geese, ducks and swans that peck and fish on the Thames at Kingston/Teddington makes me wonder what my role is ... where am I in the great plan of things? A two hour walk in cool but bright weather ... lots of fresh air and conversation to enjoy here on the edge of London.

I have decided to get fit again, to slim, to enjoy reading and music .... what was the last book I read?

And?? what was the last book you read, Paul? Mine was "Budapest" that was written by Chico Buarque de Hollanda, a Brazilian pop singer and excelent composer. He has created some of our more beautiful songs, with inteligent lyrics, as well as some colloquial ones, but all of them were very wise. During the 20 years that our country was under military dictators, since 1964, Chico Buarque has created many songs to protest against that regime. His book, Budapest, deals with an anonimous, a "ghost writer" that goes to Budapest and falls in love with a woman there...He uses real names (those of the football selection of that country) and many others picked from the cultural life of Budapest. I think that there is not an English version yet. You speak Portuguese?
